Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum

Plumbing – HVAC – Fire Protection
DMI Contract- 5.8 million

DiGesare Mechanical performed the HVAC and Plumbing work for Kirchoff-Consigli where all trades were responsible to take care to preserve the building’s historic appearance while bringing the archives and museum up to the National Archive’s standards. The building houses 35,000 museum objects and 20 million pages of documents. Condor Fire performed the fire sprinkler work and DMI’s scope of work included new boilers, air handling units and two new cooling towers with new chillers including over 6,000 linear feet of underground pre-insulated pipe connecting them throughout the site.

New York State Police Troop G Headquarters

HVAC
DMI Contract- 4.1 million

DiGesare Mechanical was awarded this HVAC contract by the New York State Office of General Services.  The headquarters includes a forensic investigation unit, office space, sleeping quarters, communication center and meeting space.

The 87,000 square foot, two-story Headquarters Building and 33,000 square foot Quartermaster / Vehicle Maintenance Facility both received LEED Silver certification.

Global Foundries

Plumbing – HVAC – Fire Protection
DMI Contract- over 20 million

Starting with the very first building on the GLOBAL FOUNDRIES project, DiGesare Mechanical installed Plumbing and HVAC systems in a new field complex for the lead design team, M+W Group as well as the break tent for the thousands of workers that would be needed for this build. From there, DMI went on to complete those same disciplines and adding Condor Fire to the mix with the Sprinkler work in the four-story 200,000 square foot Admin #1 building, the Dining Hall, and multiple projects and additions throughout the Fab. DMI also worked with LeChase Construction on the Admin #2 building, providing complete Design/Build services for the plumbing and HVAC on the three-story, 221,000 square foot office building.

SUNY Albany Recreation and Convocation Cener

Plumbing & HVAC
DMI Contract – 2.5 Million

Located on the University at Albany State Campus, the SUNY Field House, known on campus as The R.A.C.C. was built to accommodate the college’s increasing student population, as well as host as The Great Danes basketball and volleyball teams. The facility is used year round for sporting events and concerts. DMI was proud to have been the mechanical contractor for this 200,000 sf facility which houses locker rooms, racquetball courts, a nautilus room, indoor track, basketball and volleyball courts as well a 4583 seating capacity gymnasium.

New York State Campus Upgrade Chiller Plant

HVAC
DMI Contract – 2.6 Million

On this project DMI had to remove two large existing chillers, ten base mounted pumps and thousands of pounds of steel pipe. In it’s place we furnished and installed two 1,000 ton centrifugal chillers, fifteen 200 horsepower vertical inline split case pumps, each pump capable of delivering 6,000 gallons of chilled water per minute and piping up to 36″ in diameter. DMI was given a nine-week window in which to remove the old cooling systems and install the new. Careful, day by day scheduling and utilization of prefabrication to the maximum extent possible resulted in bringing the high efficient chillers online ahead of schedule which in turn resulted in a savings of $75,000 a month in utility costs to the State of New York.

New York Giants Training Facility

General Construction, Plumbing & HVAC
DMI Contract – 2.2 Million

When the New York Giants selected the State University at Albany for their spring training camp they needed the facility retrofitted to suit their needs and they needed it in nine weeks. DMI was awarded a multi million-dollar Mechanical / General Construction contract to retrofit the existing arena, which required the installation chillers and chilled water piping to cool an 180,000 square foot sports complex. DMI completed the project ahead of schedule allowing the Giants to begin training camp on time, and as a result was awarded a substantial five-figure early completion bonus.

Albany International Airport New Terminal and Concourse

Plumbing & Fire Protection
DMI Contract – 3.6 Million

Projects such as the 110 million dollar Albany International Airport required the capability to perform around critical operating facilities and under very challenging milestone deadlines. DMI proved it was up to the task when it signed on to install a complete Plumbing and Fire Protection system for this new 250,000 square foot, self-contained passenger terminal complex. This complex houses the three concourses, an art gallery, baggage claim, ticketing as well as well as several restaurants, police and security offices, a post office and many gift shops. In addition to the main terminal and concourse levels, DMI was additionally awarded the Plumbing and HVAC contracts for several support buildings. The first, a stand alone garage and maintenance facility in which DMI installed a complete Plumbing, Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning system as well as dual compartment fuel oil storage tanks complete with a computerized fuel inventory control system, fuel pumps, interstitial monitoring system and automatic fire suppression system. The second support building, the Air Rescue and Firefighting Facility called for DMI to install a complete Plumbing and Fire Protection system as well as the installation stainless steel piping for a diethylene glycol foaming system.
