Woodland Ponds at New Paltz New York
Plumbing – HVAC
DMI Contract- 8.9 million
DiGesare Mechanical provided Design / Build Plumbing and HVAC disciplines with a GMP for this 477,000 square foot senior living community. The $71 million overall project was constructed on 83 wooded acres in the village of New Paltz. The facility is four stories consisting of a 177-unit independent living building, 96 assisted living units, a 40-unit health care facility and 24 single story cottage units.
The 40,000 square foot community building contains several commercial kitchens, a pool, spa, informal and formal dining, and many other residential amenities, including banking, a fitness center, salon, billiards room and a post office.
Schenectady County Glendale Home
Plumbing – HVAC
DMI Contract- 6.3 million
DiGesare Mechanical was awarded the Plumbing and HVAC contracts by Schenectady County for the new 200-bed skilled nursing facility to replace the older building that was built in 1930. The new Glendale Home is a 157,000 square foot multi-storied, LEED certified building with all of the latest in high efficiency boilers, water heaters and roof top air conditioning units to name a few.
SUNY Albany, Mohawk Tower
Plumbing – HVAC
DMI Contract- 4.9 million
DiGesare Mechanical was awarded this HVAC and Plumbing contract by Kirchoff-Consigli. The 100,000 square foot, 24-story high-rise residence hall houses 440 beds with lounge space, and a weather observatory on the roof level. DMI ran multiple heating and plumbing piping lines from the basement to the top floor, but perhaps the most coordinated effort on the HVAC system was the replacement of the rooftop equipment which had to be set with a helicopter at the highest point of the building.
SUNY Albany Liberty Terrace
HVAC – Fire Protection
DMI Contract- 4.9 million
DiGesare Mechanical and Condor Fire were awarded the HVAC and Sprinkler work at this 500-Bed student housing project by LeChase Construction. Designed with a state of the art geothermal heat pump system, Liberty Terrace is expected to use 50 percent less energy than a comparable building meeting current building codes and standards. This facility is the University’s first to receive LEED Gold Certification.
Annie Schaffer Senior Center Design / Build
Plumbing & HVAC
DMI Contract – 2.7 Million
DMI got involved in this 10 story, 175,000 sf mixed-use facility in the very early stages of design. As such we were able to design a Plumbing and HVAC system which consisted of water source heat pumps, cooling towers, hot water boilers, smoke evacuation system, energy efficient ducted through wall HVAC units, air handlers and make up air units.
The first three stories, which DMI served as the GC, as well as the Mechanical Contractor consisted of 45,000 sf of commercial space housing Dudley Observatory, Dayhaven Adult Day Care Services for Alzheimer patients, two kitchens, a laundry room and the Dayhaven administrative offices. The remaining seven stories housed 118 one and two bedroom senior apartments.
Beltrone Living Center Design / Build
Plumbing & HVAC
DMI Contract – 3.25 Million
This six story senior residential living center has 245 one and two bedroom high-end apartment units. This facility is comprised of 300,000 sf and has a full service commercial kitchen and cafeteria, convenience market, beauty shop, gift shop and administration offices.
The DMI design / built mechanical system consists of two rooftop open cell cooling towers, ten boilers, 293 vertical stacked and 25 concealed ceiling water source heating and cooling heat pumps plus the latest in energy management systems.
